Asus Zenfone 5 renders surface online, hint at 18:9 display, dual cameras

Asus Zenfone 5 renders surface online, hint at 18:9 display, dual cameras

Anyway, one of these Zenfone 5s has been revealed in a manufacturer's manual sporting an (aluminum?) unibody and a tall 18:9 display, likely in the 5.7" ballpark. Carrying an internal designation X00PD, it's unclear which model exactly this would be. Judging by the microUSB port, however, it's looking like a non-flagship device

Asus, meanwhile, seems to be intent on releasing a new flagship phone with a 18:9 (2:1) aspect ratio display, dual rear cameras, a fingerprint sensor on the back of the phone, and a micro USB port, at least according to some leaked images.

Ahead of the upcoming #backto5 ASUS ZenFone 5 series launch at MWC, leaked images from the ASUS X00PD smartphone manual have surfaced along with some tech specs. These include a 5.7-inch 18:9 aspect ratio display, dual rear cameras, a rear fingerprint sensor and a rather lower-end microUSB po

What’s interesting is the placement of its dual-camera lens. Unlike its current models which are horizontally placed, the new one is placed vertically at the corner of the phone which is similar to the iPhone X. Since the device is quite tall, it’s expected to come with a larger battery capacity of at least 4,000mAh. It still uses micro USB for its charging port.

The handset from the ZenFone 5 series is seen from all possible angles in pictures shared on WinFuture website. It is obvious from the photos that the device will sport a 5.7-inch display with 18:9 aspect ratio. It is also seen with microUSB port, speaker and mic at the bottom, and the 3.5mm audio jack seen in its predecessors, including the ZenFone 4.

the ZenFone 5 Max Lite which should come with at least a 4000 mAh battery and probably a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor, 3GB or 4GB of RAM and 32GB / 64GB of storage.

Past rumors further indicate that the company will be launching not just one model but the whole Zenfone 5 series as is its tradition. In separate leaks, an Asus smartphone with model number ASUS_X00QD was certified by Wi-Fi Alliance with dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac support. It is expected to be called the Zenfone 5 Max running Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box. A third smartphone, with model number ZC600KL received certification in Russia. It is likely to flaunt a 6-inch 18:9 display along with a Snapdragon SoC under the hood.
